Privacy Policy

Effective July 6, 2026 · Last revised August 13, 2026 · Operated by dumapp

This policy explains how “Spot the Difference” (the “App”) and this website handle information.

1. Overview

The App requires no account. Except when a user expressly starts the data-transfer feature described below, the App does not send game progress or settings to infrastructure controlled by dumapp. dumapp does not collect names, email addresses, or other information from the App that directly identifies a user.

2. On-device data and backup

The App stores game progress, clear records, unlock status, Hanamaru balance and history, language/notification/sound/haptic settings, trophies, and an on-device value used to detect restoration to another device. That value is not transmitted.

Only when a user chooses “Transfer data,” the App sends progress, Hanamaru data, ordinary settings, trophies, and related records over HTTPS to temporary storage on Cloudflare. The transfer data contains no name, contact details, payment information, advertising ID, or age information. It is associated with a random one-time code, retained for no more than 30 days, and deleted when the user cancels it, it expires, or the destination device has saved and loaded it successfully. Data on the original device is not deleted. Existing game data on the destination device is replaced by the data in the code.

Game data and ordinary settings can be erased through “Settings → Reset all data.” Deleting the App removes on-device data. Depending on device and account settings, Android Auto Backup or Apple iCloud Backup may store App data and restore it after reinstallation or a device change. OS backup settings control these features.

3. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may process an advertising identifier, IP address, device information, and ad impression or interaction information. Depending on region, device settings, advertising choices, inventory, and the Ad-Free Premium entitlement, the App may show personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads, or no ad.

Raw age-range, supervision, and parental-consent signals received from the operating system or app store, and a minor status derived on the device, are not passed to AdMob or another advertising provider and are not used for ad targeting, marketing, analytics, or user profiling. If the App determines on the device that a user is a known minor, it does not initialize AdMob or Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP), does not request or show ads, and does not present a new Ad-Free Premium purchase. Existing purchase entitlements are still checked and restored through the store regardless of age. Ordinary puzzles and progress, the daily grant, the free hint, and the Hanamaru economy use the same design values across age categories. Because no ad is requested for a known minor, optional ad-based +10 rewards, extra hints, and continues are unavailable and no ads are shown. Where advertising is available, all ad content is limited to rating G.

AdMob may use the IP address to estimate the device’s approximate location. The App does not request the device’s location permission and does not access GPS data, precise location, or location history.

Where consent management is required, the App shows Google’s consent message. Where available, choices can be reviewed or changed through “Settings → Ad privacy settings.” Device advertising or tracking settings may provide additional controls.

4. In-app purchases

Google Play or the Apple App Store processes Ad-Free Premium payments. The App may receive a product ID, purchase state, and transaction identifiers needed to provide or restore the purchase and revoke the entitlement after a refund. These are not sent to or stored on a server operated by dumapp, and dumapp does not receive payment-card details. See Purchase support.

5. Content delivery, updates, and this website

App images, this website, and temporary storage for a user-initiated data transfer use Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process or log IP address, access time, and request information for delivery, transfer operation, security, and abuse prevention. This website stores the selected display language in browser local storage.

Cloudflare Privacy Policy

The App uses Expo Application Services (EAS Update) to check for and deliver updates. During an update check, Expo may process the operating system, project ID, a random App-installation token, IP address, request information, and technical error data. The random token is not the advertising identifier. EAS Update does not give the App access to GPS or precise location.

6. Notifications and analytics

The App uses local notifications scheduled on the device only; dumapp sends no push notifications from a server. The App includes no behavioral analytics SDK added by dumapp. Advertising, store, and delivery providers process information under their own policies.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not designed or marketed to children under 13. It does not independently ask for a date of birth, exact age, or age band, and dumapp does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child may have provided information to dumapp can contact us below.

To comply with applicable law, the App may temporarily process on the device signals supplied by the operating system or app store, such as an age range, supervision status, or parental-consent status. Raw signals and the minor status derived on the device are not persisted, logged, or backed up; are not sent to a dumapp server, analytics service, or advertising provider; and are not used for ad targeting, marketing, analytics, or user profiling. For a known minor, the App does not start advertising or consent SDKs, request or show ads, or present a new Ad-Free Premium purchase.

8. Third-party services and international processing

The App uses Google AdMob, Google Play, the Apple App Store / iCloud Backup, Android Auto Backup / Google Drive, Cloudflare, and Expo EAS Update. These services may operate outside Japan and process information internationally.

9. Your choices

You can manage advertising, notifications, game data, data transfer, operating-system backups, and purchases through the options below.

Advertising and notifications

In supported regions, you can review advertising choices through “Settings → Ad privacy settings.” Device advertising settings may provide additional controls. You can turn reminders off in the App settings and allow or block all App notifications in the device notification settings.

Game data and transfer

“Settings → Reset all data” returns the game progress and ordinary settings on this device to their initial state. Deleting the App removes its local data, although an operating-system backup may restore that data later.

You can cancel an unused transfer code from the device that created it. Temporary data on Cloudflare is deleted when you cancel the code, when the destination device successfully saves and reloads the data, or 30 days after the code was created. A transfer replaces game data already on the destination device. It does not delete data from the source device.

Operating-system backup

Android Auto Backup / Google Drive or iCloud backups can be stopped or deleted through the backup settings for the device or operating-system account.

Purchases

Ad-Free Premium can be restored through “Restore purchases” using the same store account. Request refunds from Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on where the purchase was made.

10. Changes and contact

Providing information in the contact form is optional. We use submitted information to respond to, investigate, and support the inquiry. The form uses Google Forms, so Google processes submitted information under the Google Privacy Policy. To request deletion of a submitted inquiry, contact info@dumapp.com.

We may revise this policy when laws or services change. Material changes will be announced in the App, store listing, or on this website.

Contact info@dumapp.com, use “Settings → Contact & bug reports” in the App, or use the contact form. See Operator information for the business address and telephone number.
